What it does
- Before the report: what the company does, last quarter vs a year ago, the latest guidance (it checks every 8-K since the last report), filed news, metrics to watch and neutral questions to listen for.
- After the report: results vs the company's own prior guidance, guidance old → new, what changed vs last quarter, tone shifts in management's own words, and notable Q&A when you paste the transcript.
- Every number has a source tag, and GAAP vs "adjusted" numbers are always kept apart.
- Your data, labelled as yours: add consensus numbers or option prices and it shows them with your source (and the implied-move formula).
- Facts only: it refuses buy/sell calls, price targets and position sizing.
Why "check every 8-K" matters
While testing, we found Johnson & Johnson cut its 2026 adjusted EPS guidance from $11.60–$11.75 to $10.96–$11.11 in an 8-K filed 29 July 2026, two weeks after its Q2 report. A brief built from the Q2 release alone would have shown stale guidance. The skill always looks for these updates.
